This FAQ explains how to configure AISNet to operate with a fixed IP address. Below are the AISNet defaults:
Untick the “Use DHCP” option and the “Network Settings” – IP, Gateway and Subnet boxes should no longer be greyed out.
Set the values manually to whatever you need them to be and then, assuming the Setting and Configuration Password boxes are blank, click the “Setting” button and when asked for the Password just click OK. If the changes are successfully applied you will see and clicking OK will make the AISNet reboot:
If there are a series of ****** in the password boxes, then you will need to factory reset the AISNet using the process below.
If the password boxes were blank and your new network settings have been applied, then you will now need to setup the data connection. You can use UDP mode, that is easy to setup. UDP broadcast and this requires you to enter a “Host IP” = 255.255.255.255 – and a port = 2000.
AISNet Factory Reset and Configuration Procedure
Click the “Factory Reset” button. This sets the following values and you will need to set your PC to a fixed IP of 192.168.11.2 with subnet 255.255.255.0 and then connect to the AISNet after it reboots.
To save the new settings, click the “Setting” button and you will be asked to enter a password which is WIZnet the same as the Connection Password. After you have entered the password, the app should respond with the following box:
To apply the changes, power cycle the AISNet and when it powers back up, you can then make the changes to the settings that you need for your network and click the “Setting” button again – the password has been removed now, so just click “OK” when asked for the password.
